We created our first prototype of Non-Profit Soapbox that enabled any organization to use a powerful and user-friendly website manager in a matter of minutes. The power of open source software was within the reach of the "accidental techie".
With the launch of Non-Profit Soapbox, we paved the way for a new website development solution based on open source tools, transparent pricing, and dependable support. Developing affordable and reliable technology that enabled non-profits to effectively fight for the social causes that improve our world became a reality.
It seemed as though even penguins could fly.
We have served more than 300 organizations with technology solutions based on the Joomla! content management system, and we're proud of our track record in the community. Our organizations use Non-Profit Soapbox in their communications strategies to shape the world around them and better serve their constituents. From protecting civil rights to rethinking foreign policy, our organizations focus on their missions while we focus on their Web technology.

In the spring of 2006, we wanted to share our penguin and our goals with the non-profit community. At the Non-Profit Technology conference, we launched Non-Profit Soapbox. We gave away 4-foot tall inflatable penguins as a symbol of support to open-source technology. People loved it! They loved it so much, we've migrated our penguins to the Non-Profit Technology Conference every year since 2006.
